30 Days of Night

It was at least an interesting take on vampires.

These vamps seem to tread the line between Blade and Underworld as far as science and myth go. They can be out on a sunny day if it's an arctic whiteout apparently. Also, they don't seem to completely fry in sunlight, they just seem to ash over.

It was nice and brutal too. The fact that the vampires could be out and about without worrying about light or silver bullets, they're not at all sneaky at times and they'll just jump into a house and brutally drain the whole family the way I eat a Stacker. It was pretty fun to watch.

Other than that, it was a badly scripted movie. The characters were flat and predictable, and the vampires are all just bad actors. The screeching was kinda cool, but the hissing was silly. The only other credible novelty in this movie is its remake potential as the new DAAAN story: "THIRTY DAYS OF DAAAAAAN"
