It was never going to be easy.....
So we split youth group yesterday - and a freak turn of events there was only 7 kids there ( total!) 2 jnr kids - one of which has only been here 2 weeks and isn't sure if she was a Christian ( and seeing we are doing 2WTL.. didn't wan't to freak her out)
I paniced quietly - followed by praying quietly.
In the end we split and one of the Snr girls came with us. It was okay - I think the talk was a bit full on, but what's important is that the girls had a clear understanding about God as creator and ruler.
I was on Prayer and memory verse - which we did on a small scale (Written word for word on Autumn leaves - I could write a WHOLE blog about how much I love Autumn and the leaves... *achem*)
1Peter 3:18. We had a really good chat about "the righteous for the unrighteous" one of the girls put it so beautifully "the Jesus for the Un-Jesus" meaning Jesus dies for the people who were like him - people who were sinners.
It's just the beginning - and whilst I'm not sure where I am getting any of this ability to lead from. I know that I have a responsibility to these kids to help them work the Good News out..... Wow.
Notice the lack of "boy talk" this blog... Ha - funny that.
