CSS/Header Help Needed!

Calling all Jesse/Santana shippers who know how to use/apply those css-thingys, would be willing to make a header and/or promotional banner thats St. Lopez related, and enjoy prompting and receiving fanfiction...

Really?! That would be pretty amazing and awesome of you. I'm still not entirely sure how to apply a layout/header, but I'm sure with some practice I could get the hang of it.

don't worry, i can give you step-by-step instructions. but first, i made a couple versions of a header:

Those are amazing! I think I'll use the first one, just cause it's so very simple and nice.

Now, I'm going to do something completely horrible and nasty; ask for a little bit more (because, you know, I'm terrible like that!) Do you think you could possibly make a profile banner and/or icon for the community, or is that simply to much? (Feel free to say you don't want to, since you've already done so much!)

sure, i'll throw something together! and i can make the layout part for this if you want, something simple that complements the header. i just wanted to get your approval on the header before i started on anything else, lol.

i don't know how you'll feel about the look and feel of it, so feel free to make suggestions. this stuff doesn't take long for me, so if you have something else in mind, feel free to say so.

i'll work on the profile banner and icons tomorrow (later today, lol).

It's a very pretty banner (and the fact that you made it is amazing!), but I think I've become a little too emotionally attached to the one we have now (bacuse, you know, I'm a dork.)
I hope you don't hate me for that, because the fact that you made one is really amaing.

er, i'm not sure what you're referring to. are you talking about the profile banner, or is there a banner for the current layout that i can't see on my browser for some reason? are you saying you don't need a layout after all?

I really, really love the header you made, and want to use it, but is there anyway we could put that on the layout it already has, or is that just not possible?

OH. okay. i understand now. i thought you meant you didn't need the header anymore, lol.

here's what you need to do:

01. go to THIS page.

02. click "Custom CSS" in the left sidebar.

03. leave all of the drop-downs alone. paste the following into the Custom Stylesheet box:

(this header really looks a LOT better with a black background, so i included the CSS for that)

body { background-color: black; }

.headerimage {
position: relative;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
margin-bottom: 0px;
width: 600px;
height: 400px;
background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/5cepnc.png');
background-repeat: no-repeat; }

if you want the background to be the same gray, leave out the body { background-color: black; } section

i will, but i have huge tracts of homework to do this weekend, so i kind of need to take care of that. i'll try to make time for it tomorrow.
