Following everyone else I thought I would put down my thoughts on tonight.
Above is what is printed on the front of the booklet Mrs. Hyde gave us all tonight, it made me laugh and cringe somewhat! A selection of the contents...
No. 1 - Go boldly.
What are you afraid of?
What is standing in your way?
Face your fears and think boldy.]
No. 4 - Believe that you deserve the best.
Expect the best and you get the best/
Repeat this affirmation over and over... I deserve th best in life.
No. 8 - Treasure your diamond.
No.15 - Find soul food.
Soul food is spiritual food: find your essence; your diamond.
Set aside time to polish your diamond on a regular basis.
I cant believe Mrs. Hyde printed us each a booklet with thinking skills in. And I cant believe mrs. Shore gave us all a stone. But with the advice of Mrs. Hyde I am going to set aside my cynicism (*sp)and admit that im gonna miss all this crap our school feeds us so much!
Tonight was really nice, and it didnt hit me until I got home that in two weeks I will leave Watford forever. I cant believe that 7 years has come to an end, I can still remember being in year 7 thinking how old the sixth form were. I know its a cliche but it really is true. School has become such a major part of my life, especially as I have met so many amazing people. But I guess things change and life moves on, If i wasnt leaving school in 2 weeks im sure I would just be complaining about it.
I know its a bit silly and a bit early (we still got 2weeks hehe) but thank you to all the girls for such an amazing time! Doesnt it seem like only yesterday that we were getting in a limo for Sallys 13th Birthday!
For the benefit of the girls these are some things tonight reminded me of...
-having the "snoob" party!
-Sally hding behing the curtains pretending to be Father Christmas.
-making a ouji board in year 7 and using the top of one of those sports cap water bottles, mrs Raza outside telling us it was evil!
-Getting kept behind by Mr. Bevan for the first time and hiding behind the lockers.
-That old foriegn man that used to just appear in class rooms to fix blinds/leaks/tables.
-Year 8 French with Madam Edwards and her obsession with sally dancing in the disco.
-On the same note... the flying portacabin.
-Sitting under a table shouting "aiii ma jambe" or something along those lines!
-Lizzie. I think she just stands along now as one big memory.
-Mrs. Morren "you said I didnt have to do the hwk this week" "oh ok then dont worry."
-The German exchange party! My exchange just sitting in a room all night (which I now know to be Emmas mums office) with Cationa elliots exchange!
-"recess"
-Mr. Bevan!
-Me Nicole and Sally getting mobile phones in year 8!
-The loser table, hehe emma!
-All the sleepovers! I couldnt even begin to remember them all! Though dancing around Sallys room to no1 1997 sticks out in my mind (oh god that was in year 10!)
-The disco... Sam getting "grease lightning" dedicated to her by Brian Found!
-And omg, for some people... the boy books. hehe. Do you remember these?
Ok, I think that is enough! Im getting a bit too nostalgic. Does anyone happen to have the thing that we got in year 7 where everyone wrote about themselves? If so could I possibly borrow it to make a copy of.
See you all at school tomorrow for our second last ever Tuesday :(
