Flapping Fish Syndrome:

When during your legal studies a professor applies the socratic method whereby you find youself the unlucky recipient. Most likely to occur when you got too drunk the night before and failed to finish your constitutional law reading. Characteristic signs of the flapping fish syndrome are blubbering and sputtering to find some kind of bullshit answer that will satisfy your professor to move onto his or her next victim. Usually these attempts fail and result in a futher attack eventually resulting in socractic death. You're better off taking the hemlock straight out.
