I have internet!!! It's one of those little things that is really a big thing and I should really be able to live with out fro two weeks but being without it for two weeks here was very challenging especially when things like credit card bills want to be paid. Anyways as of this evening I am back in the cyber world and can read exciting things like the news and weather from my lovely little reinforced room. It also means I can talk to people =) SO a brief update: tu'beshevat in Israel included planting some mint like plant in a flower bed on campus in the clay mud from all the rain and wind we have been having. Then we got to go inside and eat fruit, yes some days ulpan (Hebrew class) feels very much like elementary school Sunday school but the days are so intense that feeling like a 7 year old is a welcome break. A normal day starts at 8:30 and we get a half hour break at 10:00 and go from 10:30-11:15 and 11:30-1 Sundays we go 9:30-2. It is getting a little bit easier so that is encouraging except for having a ton of homework and being tired all the time but I have been getting out some. I finally made it to the old city this past Thursday and happened upon a swearing in ceremony for new paratroopers which was interesting. Unfortunately I had followed my dad's advice and removed my camera battery so it wouldn't die while the camera sat in my closet and the batter sat on my desk while the camera and I wandered around. Won't make that mistake again. I went “home” to Petach Tikvah (Tel Aviv) for the weekend to sleep and relax and watch Israeli TV. Good times. I intended to watch the start of the super bowl tonight but seeing as I still have homework and want to sleep and really don’t care about the teams my bed is sounding much more enticing. I have a pseudo address now so if you want it let me know and I will e-mail it. I hope every one is well and happy and drier than me =)
