Till Tuesday...
Been tired lately...I can't believe that as of next tuesday I will have completed 9 graduate credits. My masters will be over before I know it. A bunch of us are going to go out for a drink after class on Tuesday. It should be fun. I really have made some nice friends at LIU. More then I ever made at Purchase in one semester...Wow!!
Friday I went over to Barbara's (my bosses house) for the staff holiday party. I spent the entire lunch hour with these people LISTENING to them talk about the first time they ever had sex and then about which real/world road rules characters they like best. (I didn't participate because (1) It's none of their god damn business about my sexual past and (2) I don't watch that much TV so I couldn't chime in if I wanted to.) Then to have to go to the party to have a continuation of the conversation. Once they started to call Josh Groban an "Opera Boy" and say that they can't listen to him because he sings in a different language, I had enough...Thankfully I DID have to go early because I had to go and give Mathew and Julia their Hanukkah gifts and sit for them....I hope that when I work in a public school people there are more cultured...One day, one day...
Still haven't really made a dent in my Christmas list...I have like 10 more people to buy for...This shit never ends...I think that I will get more in the spirit when I'm on my 2 week break from school. Actually I think that after Tuesday all will be well.
My kids (all 40 of them) are starting to give in Holiday gifts. So far I got a frame. Now I know what it's like to be a teacher and have to write out thank yous ALL THE TIME. I do appreciate it all. my kids are really great and while I may sometimes complain about my co-workers and the fact that I'm not teaching what I want to, I really do LOVE my kids. They are damn cute...
I'll write more later on. Hope all is well out there with all of you...
