This was going to happen sooner or later...
I haven't mentioned it here yet, I don't think. I've been volunteering at the non-profit hospice as a baker. I feel that hospice does important work, and I've known people, including my dad, who received care from hospice. The non-profit hospice has a cafe where they sell food to generate money for patient meals. That's where my baking skills come into play, the stuff I make is sold at the cafe.
I chose Wednesday evenings as my night to volunteer. It's the least busy evening of the week for me. That's probably the reason why when I volunteered for the Wisconsin Humane Society, I also did that on Wednesdays too.
Anyway, the movie season is coming up and I told Chris that if he knew movie screenings were coming up, to let me know so that I can rearrange my schedule, especially at the hospice. He told me last night that he got an email during the day about the Star Trek movie screening which happens to be this Wednesday. After an inner "Khaaaaaaaaaaan!" moment, we discussed back and forth if I would go with him or not, and in the end, I decided not to. It's too short notice for me to rearrange my schedule for the week, and I've been stressed out as it is. I don't know if I was going to check out the movie while it's in theaters, but I definitely would've seen a free screening of it. That, and Chris is my movie buddy, so if he's already seen it, he most likely wouldn't see it again anyway.
Oh well. Not the end of the world, but I am rather curious about the movie. Hopefully, if there is a screening of the new Terminator movie, I'll know ahead of time.
