The weird health problems just keep stacking up for me! I didn't get any sleep last night because I kept suffering from repeated blood sugar crashes. I'd get all shaky and sweaty and dizzy, unbearably so, so I'd stumble my way out to the kitchen and eat a little something and wait till I felt okay. And then I'd go lay back down, only for it to happen again. Must've happened at least five times. It was SCARY. Few things freak me the fuck out like struggling to control my limbs. I've got the fainting mostly under control now, by virtue of having my stress under control a little more, but this makes me nervous about making the drive to Michigan again.

So, no Thanksgiving for me tomorrow. Er....today, I guess it would be. My mom's sick, and Grandma's sick, and there's a lot of phlegm going around. And nobody wants a phlegmy Thanksgiving, so we're putting it off. I still intend to overeat, though. I got a bunch of coupons from the local McDonald's in the mail recently, and I intend to make use of every last one. All six of them. Free coffee (I've come to absolutely adore their iced coffee), breakfast sandwiches, Big Macs, Angus third-pounders, and more, here I come!

It's official: New Super Mario Bros Wii is Jesse's new third favourite Mario series platformer, behind Yoshi's Island and Super Mario Bros 3. It's really fun to hack, but I've never been a huge fan of Super Mario World on its own. Which reminds me, only this year did I figure out how to get the secret exit to the Valley Ghost House. In the 14 years I've owned that game, I never realized that you can actually control those coin snakes that come out of blocks! Hahaha, I'm a moron sometimes. But anyway, the point is, shockingly for a game released in 2009, NSMBW is a worthy entry in the series, and the most fun I've had with a 2D platformer in AGES. So I'm more or less happy right now for once.

As much as I hate the guy (and anything else to have come out of American Idol), I've gotta say, it's absolutely fucking reprehensible that Adam Lambert's AMA performance is so supposedly controversial. Yeah, I can understand the simulated oral sex thing, but I'm watching the news right now and they're acting like it's absolutely reprehensible that he kissed another guy. I mean, so what? It's just a kiss, people. Gawd, this makes me just wanna PUNCH SOMETHING.

(And for predictability's sake, a review of "Mr. Monk and the Badge". In this episode, Adrian and his Charizard finally take down the pesky Cinnibar Gym Leader Blaine and his fearsome Magmar, and get one step closer to making it into the Indigo League.)
