Kids aren't even back yet, and I have a headache.

Today was a training day at school, which meant no kids - thank goodness. We had some training on phonics, then spent the afternoon discussing literacy teaching. Literacy in general is stressing me out, since the colleague I had helping me last term is now working with someone else, so I have no support at all - my two year group colleagues both ( Read more... )

Could you go for a wander at lunch time, or do you have to stay on site? I find that strolling off for a bit (even when it's cold!) is really helpful.

I do sometimes go for a walk to the shop near school, which is nice, but the school is in the middle of a pretty grim council estate, so I tend not to head out unless I need to. When it warms up a bit I'll be able to sit out on the balcony by the staff room - roll on the spring :)
