(no subject)
I actually managed to get work done today. *gives everyone a moment to get over the shock* I have been trying to get work done for a week now, but life has been consistently thwarting me, as only life can. I am getting a bit concerned about this essay, though. It's 6000-8000 words, and I'd planned to cover 8 poems, as well as some general rambling about the poet and the process of poetic translation. Well, I finished typing up the analysis of one poem...1112 words. 0_o This will clearly need to be reduced somewhat. However, it is good to know that I'll be able to fill the word limit fairly easily. Phew.
Also, my sister is moving back home some time next week...while it will be nice to have her around again, I will also miss my nice little ordered routine I have set up just now. Having worked out that Star Trek: Voyager is on Sky One at 9am, I get up to watch that then get on with my day - it gets me up at a decent hour, and wakes me up nice and gently. Hopefully that shouldn't change too much, since she can sleep for Britain. However, she does tend to watch lots of very crap TV, which kinda makes me wish my brain would just drip out through my ears. Just think of all the truly trashy stuff Living TV, Sky One and MTV show, and you get the idea.
Am also looking forward to the new Harry Potter! And yes, I am going to get it at midnight tomorrow. My semi-excuse is that one of my mum's friends has asked me to take her daughter, but in all honesty I would probably have gone anyway. Bookshop of choice is Borders, because it's cool, and because they have entertainment and refreshments. And also 20% off all books between 6pm and midnight. Hurrah! And yes, I do have a copy reserved.
