today i researched some weeds of north america, to find Lamium amplexicaule (henbit). i could not remember the name of this damn purple flowered weed. i have been trying to remember for nearly a month. finally! my brain & google lined up like the cosmos and gave me this knowledge.
lynda barry's new book is coming out tomorrow.
http://www.amazon.com/What-Lynda-Barry/dp/1897299354/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210539410&sr=8-2 it is about how to write. it is a lot like the class i took, only lynda barry will not be getting up in your face saying GOOD! GOOD! and she won't BEG you to read to her outloud. and she won't hug you or tell you she likes you or talk to you about menopause & mr rogers and put her hair into marlys hairstyles in the middle of class.
but i am going to buy it anyway (or my sweet girlfriend will buy it for me!), and i will read it 100 times at least, and probably see if i missed anything in the class. you should read it, too, and write down some things and see what happens. you might go someplace really wild.
here is a New York Times voiceover recording & slide show of Ms. Barry talking about her new book.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/11/arts/design/11kino.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&pagewanted=all&oref=slogin i hope that everyone in the world buys her book. the world would be a totally different place, man.
my ankles are hurting like a beytch. the physical therapy shit i have been doing has been resulting in a lot of sore, tired, achy, horrible, exhausted ankles. and walking around the museum for rural life, rockshelter, and pre-columbian village were not good for my ankle. dang, i am single-handedly eating most of the ibuprofen in north america.
