Merry Christmas everyone.
Had a great/fantastic time at Midwest. Was lucky enough to attend the most amazing freaking brass concert of my LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! The CSO Brass played a concert on Thrusday ng that 1:00 p.m. As we say in the brass world "It Kicked Brass" . I have never never clapped so hard for any concert in my life. They walked out and the audience gave them almost a five minute applause. It was amazing. They ended their three enccores with Pines of "freaking" Rome. Oh my God if I would have hit by a car the instant the concert ended my life would have been complete.
I even got to shake Charlie Vernon's hand twice and he signed my program and Jenn, Derek, and I talked to him for about five minutes. I was so excited afterwards I was shaking and crying at the same time.
There are no words to truely describe the AMAZING brass playing that I was able to hear. I have to say that maybe even Maslanka was not as good as Thursday's concert. That is how fantastic it was.
I think I found a job for the summer. Getting paid and everhting!
Still working on the whole job thing for next year. Hopefully I wil have one lined up before the end of the year. That would make my summer!
Only a few more months to go. That in itself is a Christmas present!
