A Night at the Olive

Aug 16, 2004 12:57

Ok so last night was quite amusing. Kristen, Lauren Westerfield (both of whom I hadn't seen all summer), Shannon, Jessie, and I went to dinner at Olive Garden. Considering that the last time we went there they spilled Shirley Temples all over Shannon, we should have known it was a bad idea. We got there at a little after 7, and were told there would be a 30-40 minute wait. So we're sitting there on the bench and it gets to be like 7:45 and Shannon decided to go check. Then they told her it would be another 10 minutes, and we ended up being seated at about 8.

Then as we are eating our yumm garlic bread these two waiters who were not our own came up to our table and were like "what are you ladies doin tonight?" and then invited us to a "staff" party at one of their houses. We were like umm we'll think about it...Then our waiter came back and asked us the same question. It was awk we were like ummm...So basically the other two waiters kept coming back and being like, so are you guys coming? and we kept saying we didn't know. Then when Ashley White joined us later she heard them ask and she was like "party?!" and got all excited but I think she was the only one.

To top it all off our food took another HOUR to come and the waiter kept apologizing and then OK when brings out my "Garlic Herb Chicken con Brocoli" he said, sorry we ran out of brocoli. HMM I was like Oh. I was perturbed. He said we could each get free deserts for the wait. So then we got excited cause Baldwin wanted to try the chocolate lasange. And I wanted this berries and cream thing. So after we each order our deserts they come out and are like, sorry we're out of choc lasange and berries. WHAT. THere was apparently one tiramisu and a bunch of mousse cake. OK bring us the one tiramisu and the rest mousse. So then apparently some other waiter took the last tiramisu, so we all had to just get the freaking mousse cake that no one else wanted. It was good anyway but of course we were at ghetto Olive Garden so it was a ghetto experience. Oh and the waiter left us his name and number in case we ever want to hit him up for that party. We ended up leaving at 10, we were there for 3 hours!

After we all went back to Baldie's house, where we were joined by Katie and Bacher and we watched the Olympics. It's really fun to watch that with a group of friends for some reason. And be amused by Jessie's dog Samulina Quiltford who Bacher renamed Thumbilina and her other dog Artie who Bacher nicknamed Guster.

Oh so I've started working at A&F, I worked on Sat and Sun. It's really a joke of a job, I just walk around trying to look busy by folding and transporting clothes. They seriously don't even need me. But oh well it is an excuse to look at hots guys all day, especially the manager in training who is hot hot and so nice. I want. Ok well I think I might go sit out in the back yard to maintain the little tan I have left.
