Well... here I am, and here it is.

I suppose (okay, I KNOW) this is the longest I've gone without an update since I started this thing... Lots going on, still in the middle of it now, albeit the last week of my visit in Canda.

Read on if you're curious as to my whereabouts and going-ons lately! I know that "I kiiied, I kiiid" about people reading my entries or I will kill them, but I promise to withold punishment from those who'd rather skip these and wait until I get into my school groove. My school thang.

I'm waiting for my clothes to dry, 'cause I wanna go for a run and it's alll in there.  so, I'll type for what it's worth for the next 20 minutes or so and finish this later (keeping that "later" in for flexibility).

So, as for school things, I'm pretty much all set!  During the July to August transition, my parents and Amy helped me move all my things into my new apartment (in San Jose, where I'll go to school in the fall... focus now, stay with me here!).  I met my new roomie, Deanna.  We live on the second floor AND her and I share the upstairs bedroom (so, two mini floors for each apt.), so for those from Santa Barbara, we get the nice extra ceiling space and quiet-ness like Sana Ynez apts.  I didn't meet my other apartment-mates, so I guess that'll be a surprise for when I come back!  Which is this Sunday afternoon.

I registered for my classes, which was so simple, I felt like I was doing something immoral.  Like other grad programs, you don't get many options, and my school even told me what add codes to use, which was a first.  Don't ask me what I'm taking, 'cause I don't remember the official titles, and those don't mean much anyway, wouldn't you agree?  I'll fill you in more on that whole bizness when it actually starts.

I just thought I'd mention, on a little side note, that I have been dreaming much more than usual.  Although my recollection of these dreams is still faint and poor, these swirling remnents are more present during consciousness, simply because of their larger quantity.  Makes me feel a little weird. But, not in a bad way.

NEway.  So, when I get back to San Jose, all my stuff is good to go in my apt, there's an open chair for me in my classes, I even have easy-mac for snacking!  Oh, and  a Jeep Cherokee to get myself out and about and around and through the streets.  If it starts when I get back.  Otherwise I'll have to profess my basic ignorance with cars and beg someone to jump start it for me, 'cause hell if I know how to do it.

I think my time is about up!  I'll talk about Canada next time.  One thing I will mention is that it is the worst summer in many.a.year for Oshawa (Ont.), but it's perfect weather for runnin'!  It rains much more often here than in Redding, so I'm constantly amazed by how green the grass grows.  The bike path I run on is surrounded my hundreds of different shades of green in the grass, trees and shrubbery.  When I remember to admire my surroundings, rather than stare at my feet, I'm always impressed.
