I have ant-related repressed memories.
I was talking with Michelle (former apt. roomie) yesterday, and she reminded me of the time ants dominated our bathroom. I do remember this, because of the sheer horror of showering with literally hundreds upon hundreds of ants. Mostly the lil' black sugar ones, but since they really liked our apartment, there were also the ones with wings, to keep things moving and in order.
BUT, I did not remember that we had a poor draining system (I blame it on my other roomie, who had looong hair and shed a lot), so at times you were ankle deep in water with 50-100 ants swimming around with you. Needless to say, there was a period in my life that showering was merely a forced habit, I didn't feel much cleaner and certainly not refreshed afterward.
I'm excited! I get to see Michelle later today, she's driving up with a friend of hers sometime this afternooon. She was in Germany these past few seasons, and we realized it's been over a *year* since we last saw each other. Hence the excited part. I think we'll go to Whiskeytown Lake, do a little swimming/wading, get a little sun. Should be fun! Fun in the sun? Perhaps, but I don't wanna jump to conclusions.
Well, it's early, but I wanted to go on a run before it gets too damn hot today. Not even 8AM and almost 70 degrees. That's actually not as bad as it could be, so I'll take it.
