Paris, Je T'aime

I'm just copying and posting my earlier e-mails:

I enjoyed Natalie Portman's scene, but i have to admit i expected more from it. I'm a big fan, and that didn't hit me as hard as usual, ya know? I liked the last skit too. It made me sad though, even though I completely agreed with the message it sent out (Mick, this scene is for you). Steve Buscemi making out with the woman and then getting beat up was also a magnificent scene, and i'm glad he got to take part in this film.
I feel that Elijah Wood is a great actor that doesn't get much credit, but how could he when he does scenes like this? When you see the movie, you'll understand why. It didn't fit with the natural flow of the other scenes (yes, i know they are all done by other directors), but it felt like it cut in and away from the movie, instead of complimenting and adding to it.
My top three were definitely: the man about to leave his wife ( :( :) ), The Maggie Gyllenhaal drug scene, the Natalie Portman "dumping" scene, and the two guys where one of them couldn't speak English. Okay, okay, top 4.
Great movie, i'm excited for New York, Je T'aime, and the third (Chinese) installment. Although i doubt either of those two can beat the French version.
