good news...
i just wanted to let everyone know that my boyfriend, Jason, proposed to me this past Saturday. I said yes, of course, or else i wouldn't be telling you. haha. but we haven't set a date or anything, just probably next year - i'm hoping spring time. i've been really busy here at school getting stuff done with applications to grad school and comps and my independant study. props to those who took it online!!
a short summary of the engagement: he asked my parents last Thursday for their blessing, which they gave him of course. he was super nervous about that. and then he bought the ring the morning before he talked with them. i went to see him on Saturday and saw his family but they all acted normal so i had no idea. He took me out to a nice dinner in Terre Haute and we ate. after he paid for the check we were kissing and i open my eyes and there's the ring. haha, i thought i was going to faint, but he told me i looked horrified. that's a great picture. i'm such a dork. anywho, he told me that he loved me more than anyone in the world and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me so would i marry him. so before the tears started pouring i said yes!! then i spent 3 hours on the phone calling everyone, haha, but it was worth it. so now i'm back at school, bummer, but i get to see him next week when i have my winter break. YAY!! everyone is really excited, which makes me happy. he's such a wonderful person. he caught me totally off-guard, telling me he had to watch his money, that we couldn't get the ring until he had saved back up again. bastard :-) it was an amazing surprise though. i just wanted to tell everyone here to make sure i didn't forget to tell anyone and then they say, "Why didn't you tell me??!!!"
If any more news pops up i'll try to be good and write about it in here. but now, back to applications. i've gotta write this frickin' personal statement. wish me luck!!
