Well...poop.

I’ve only just gotten the 4th comic “finished” for work, which took me over a week longer than I had hoped although it comes to no surprise. Things always take longer than I want them to. Ah well.

I had hoped to update the website but due to my problem of being a semi-perfectionist on this comic (and add every detail I can throw it) it doesn’t look like it will happen. I think I may be able to get the third comic posted that I did last summer but it’s difficult to say. I have a lot of work from painting and printmaking to post but I need to fix some stuff and take photos, which will require too much time.

Right now I really need to use what time I have left to finish up the remaining things I need to do for this 4th comic and THEN I’ll have to get on top of that show for the Miami trip I went on.

…I’m burnt out from this previous semester’s work and not having time to rejuvenate is not so good. My mind keeps forcing myself to take a break though because due to the painting final I did on the Key to the Gate story it got me thinking A LOT about the rest of the story. I now have several pages of notes I’ve jotted down and I’ve drawn a little bit too including some new characters. It looks like I have about four maybe even five more books to write after this first one…wow. It’s really funny how this story keeps growing and expanding when originally it was only going to stop after the first. I think what I’ll do is write the rest of the story out before publishing them. That way it will be easier to connect them and I’ll have more time to think it over to make corrections. Ooooh man I am so excited to write this especially after my revelation that will result in the return of a character that I had not previously planned at all.

…also the playstation 2 and guitar hero game Vince and Taylor got us for Christmas isn’t helping me stay on task either.

Oh I have to share I’ve been keeping track of the time I’ve spent working on this previous comic, which I have not done before. As of right now I have spent over a period of 19 weeks, roughly around 490 hours on it. More than likely when I finish the remaining things it will probably turn to over 500. All that includes research, character designs, photos taken for references, drawing, inking, cleaning/corrections, scanning, adding frames, bubbles, text, coloring for 20 pages, and a cover. I am really looking forward to starting on the next fresh comic though. It'll be good drawing some new faces.

I really do feel that zombie is a good word to describe myself especially right now because I feel like I’ve died from all this work but I have to keep moving. Much like how a zombie cries “Brains!” I cry “Time!”

Oh, I’ve also added one picture to deviantArt.
