oh noes
So yesterday, almost everything electronic I own tried to die on me.
*glares warningly at ps2* Don't even think about it.
Yeah, so first I was riding my bike to Kendra's house at like 7pm and my mp3 player jumped out of my pocket and scattered itself all over the road, so I spent quite awhile walking up and down the road, using my bikelight as a flashlight, gathering up all the pieces. No worries, it still works.
So then I got home and was happily amusing myself with my laptop when blammo, it turned itself off. I stared at it for a moment, making sure it was plugged in, and then hit the power button. Nothing. I started pounding the power button and wailing at it not to die on me, that I love it and I'm sorry I said so many mean things about it. Still nothing. So I decided it needed some time to think and went to my room to find my phone to call a friend who knows more about computers than I do. Except...where is my phone? I thought back to where it could be and realize that I am positive it was in my coat pocket when I went over to Kendra's...except now it's not. With a sigh, I grabbed my bike light again and headed into the cold night (at this point it is after midnight). I walked along the road, looking for my cellphone, and finally found it in a puddle along the side of the road, where it apparently jumped out of my pocket at the same time as my mp3 player. Amazingly, it still works (although it does rattle a bit when I shake it...).
As for the lappy...well, I guess it just needed some time to think. After moaning at it some more this morning, it finally agreed to turn on. Of course, I immediately e-mailed everything of importance to myself in case it dies again, but for now, it is quite agreeable. ^_^
