WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE updating from work!! All three of my bosses have been out of the office all day so I've literally been doing NOTHING. I spent my wntire morning reading a thread on fark.com about the whole Dick Cheney shooting a guy thing, and let me tell you, there are some hilarious people out there. The rest of this entry is mainly just gonna be my favorite quotes I read today, becuase nothing exciting is going on in my actual life and I really found these hilarious, so maybe you will to.
"I wonder how soon this will become a Law and Order episode, 'ripped from the headlines!'"
"Our military is stretched a little thin right now and Cheney has shown both the will adn the ability to shoot another man. Seems to me he could better serve our country in Iraq than in Washington."
The fundamental NRA rules for same gun handling are:
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction
2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
I don't think Mr. Cheney followed either of these rules, do you? DAMN those liberals at the NRA!!"
"What about the theroy that there could have been another shooter, maybe hiding behind the grassy knoll?"
"The vice president of the United States shot someone in the fucking face. Do you honestly believe that this is only news becuase of some Left-wing media conspiracy? Good rule of them to consider in the future: vice presidents shooting people in the face will generally make the news."
"Was Aaron Burr charged with manslughter? This will be the GOP's defense if the poor guy dies. They'll point out how 200 years ago people killed each other all the time without legal reprecussions."
"The administration is saying that this is a private matter and that the shooting will not be investigated. That doesn't seem fair when Clinton got in so much trouble for shooting that Lewinsky girl in the back of the throat."
"I'd rather hunt with Dick Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy."
And a final thought:
"Whenever something's political, there are two sides. The left is going to pour through Yexas law in an attempt to find all the laws Cheney broke, and the right is gonna blame the victim. As always, the thruth lies somewhere in the middle."
