Well, for a change of pace today was actually a relatively productive day. Got up to take Ross to his volunteering thing, then on the way home I stopped at the greenhouse and bought some flowers to plant. My mom keeps saying she wants to put something by the mailbox, but never seems to have time, so I figured I'd do it. Not quite sure why, but lately I seem to have developed this interest in gardening, and I remember I used to hate it. Maybe I just like it because its something to do outside, I don't know. Anyway, the flowers I got are sort of miniature daisies, that have yellow petals and purple centers, quite nice actually. So then I came home, ate breakfast, watched some TV, worked out a little, then I went out and planted them. Since today was exceptionally nice (sunny and 76) I didn't want to go back in right away, so I stayed outside and read for about 2 hours. I'm reading Angela's Ashes, I guess because I was trying to find a book to read and I remembered Nora reading it for our term papers senior year and she had liked it. So, yeah, it's pretty good, kinda weird because it deals with a lot of tough issues like extreme poverty and sickness, but it still manages to be very funny at times. Overall, a pretty good read.

Around 2:45 my freedom ended, as I was again sucked into the chauffering/soccer mom (yes, Melissa, I know what you go through) mode. Picked Ross up from volunteering, took him to a meeting for the musical, came home, ate a sort of really early dinner, picked Ross up AGAIN, then dropped him off at home. It took me 20 minutes to drive less than a mile between NDA and my house because of all that construction on Sylvania, and mind you we're not talking about a big city here, nope, just Toledo, OH, epitome of all things suburban. Needless to say, I won't be coming home that way again during rush hour. Honestly, the kid needs to start driving . . . I guess I'm not gonna encourage it though cause that would mean me having to share the car. So yeah, I suppose driving him around all the time is a small price to pay for unlimited use of the car.

After that I went to work until 10. Hmm, so today I find out there's a new manager at work. It was kind of amusing actually because I've only worked there for about 4 weeks and I'm not sure if she's never worked at a Panera before or what, but she kept asking me for help with everything, and I hardly feel like I'm much of an authority on how to do anything there.
