amusing conversation that occurred between myself and a middleaged man today in family dollar:
"hola. hablas espanol?" (for some reason i am often mistaken for being hispanic)
"muy, muy poco."
"ah. como te llamas?"
"jessi."
"tienes un bebe?"
"noooo.tengo dicisiete anos." (that's right, you creep, this is illegal.)
"ah. tienes un novio, no?"
"si. se llama "
"ah. es bueno que tienes un novio. pero no tienes bebe?"
"no."
"quieres bebe?"
*inches away, pretending to look at something else, then bolts for the door asap.*
right after that a man with one arm and no teeth put his hand (and very long nails) on my arm and said something along the lines of "hey baby, hows it goin?"
i'm never going back into that store by myself.
