You seem to really like U of L, and the only thing standing in the way of that is the price tag. Is the debt worth it to you, or do you feel that you can be almost as happy at JCC?
All I know is that my brother and his girlfriend both went to universities, and it hasn't made it any easier for them to get jobs. They work at a hospital right now, but it's not a great job, nor do they enjoy it. It's just the first thing they managed to find, after 5 months of searching actively.
So, I honestly don't think a CC is gonna make a huge difference to employers. Besides, you could always go to JCC in America, and then go to a regular university when you get back to Canada. It'll probably be cheaper there, and after a CC, you'll only have to do university for 2 years before you get a bachelor's.
Seriously, practically everyone here does CC for two years, and then transfers to a university. It's easier, and a lot cheaper in the long-run.
I think they are both good choices. But, you seem to want U of L more. So, maybe JCC for two years, and then transfer to U of L? It'll mean 24,000 bucks instead of 48,000.
What trade are you studying? I was thinking of going to a makeup school and becoming a makeup artist. Hopefully fashion, but special effects also appeals to me a lot. I could make zombies! :D
