the breakup
There are many times throughout your life where you just have to face the facts and have the inevitable break-up... and like most break-ups you might have the occasional post-break up hook up.
Yesterday I had mine. However this is a different kind of break up.. the friend break up. the past life break up.. At times in life you move on.. sometimes at a rate faster than most of your friends. And it becomes evident that the similarities and circumstances that you had once based your friendship on are no longer there...
Some may claim to have let go of high school.. I feel the more adamant the one is about that.. the less they have let go.. Sure they might let go of who is doing what.. and caring about what those other people in those other clicks think of you.. but they like most tend to hang on to the thoughts and ways that makes high school high school.. the drama the never ending need for emotional uprising... These needs seem to carry on all through college with bigger drama over more adult situations.. but there comes a time when the real world hits with all it's unbridaled reality and you move on... trival matters no longer hold the wieght that they used to.. and the drama that used to keep you intrigued looses it's power and even more makes you queasy
I feel like I have reached that point.. and much to my dismay have had to reach the inevitable break up... sure I will have the post-hook up.... but in the end the relationship has changed and for better or for worse so have all of us
