I am alive

Ever so suddenly, i was summoned to pick up cassie from her dads yesterday.I wasn't expecting her til the weekend. So, around 6:45 i jump into Erick's car and I am off. As I am pulling off the X-way at Zeeb Rd. in Ann Arbor and I go to make the left, the car feels like it hydroplaned for a half of a split second. I think to myself, "maybe it needs some steering fluid or something". I got to Scott's, got Cassie and her stuffies together and got back into the car. I was pulling out of the space when the most horrible thunk noise emits fom the car and the steering wheel goes entirely mushy. I freak out for a sec. and put the car in park and jump out to assess the situation. Both wheels of the car are turned into the car. It looks like a duck footed, not gonna move, big hunk of metal at this point. So, There i am in Ann Arbor, with the car half out of its space and half into the road and both wheels turned opposite ways. SCREWED. I got no answer when i try to call home. Scott, in a whirl of goodsemaritanism breaks out his jack and pops off the tire to see what the problem is and if he can fix it, or at least move it all the way into the space. He got the tire off and showed me the littl part with the problem. The little arm that attaches the steering column with the actual tires was busted off. This part is only about six to eight inches long, it kinda looks like a upside-down deep spoon, and it is totally missing its casing(the thing that actually secures the part to the wheels.)
Scott kept saying how much "god" must have been looking out for me. He said if i was driving when the thing broke the car would have flipped for sure, front over back, maybe more than once.
But it happened where it did and i feel sorta lucky for that. I am alive, I was not hurt (physically). When all is said and done a car is a car. So, after calling like a billion people (still got no answer from the man who owns the car), my womanly savior arrived (she of course was one of the very first I called). She calmed me down and took us about our way with the plesent distraction of her own houses drama. I love this woman, she is the best. If i were a man I would not marry her because she would deserve better. This is not the first time she has saved me and i suspect it will not be the last either. I would do the same and more for her too, I believe she knows that.
On another note....well, really there is no other notes right now.
Woman, I can not thank you enough....
