I've updated my user page with a DMCA notice, as this newest case involving Roxy and myself is now the....6th time I've had my artwork taken uncredited or made into an icon without my permission.
This is why we can't have nice things, people.
Yes, most of the artwork I post is fanart, but I still hold creative copyright over the image itself. Thankfully, I've got such a distinctive style it's not very hard to spot my art from a mile off, but sadly, it doesn't stop people from trying.
That being said, there are at the moment three people who DO have my permission to take my artwork and create icons out of it, even still, we both MUST be credited in the icon comments.
*sigh*
At least now the DMCA letter is sent off, and if anything more pops up, people will hopefully let me know. Otherwise I will be having to slap giant watermarks on everything and that's no fun.
Anyways, I'm now considering using my idle Dreamwidth account as my sketchblog. Y/N?
