Wow that must have been quite an experience, Jess!

I had a simmilar one recently, we (me & Liliana) went on a vacation to Mexico (it was pretty good, seen some Mayan ruins and you know that i've always been nuts about history and that kind of crap). But while we were there we had a hurricane - and it was the worst on record since 1860 and it passed right where we were staying. The hotel windows were boarded up, so i felt pretty safe at the beginning. But then first the power went (the storm came during the night), then the roof started leaking (that freaked me out a bit) and then BANG! a loud crash that made the whole room shake, it felt as if the door and window will pop out of the wall. Now THAT was scary, i thought God knows what fell on top of our room and that we were buried alive or something.

I found out later that it was a gas tank explosion in a restaurant down the street, the place was almost completely destroyed by it.

Anyway, that's my own little 'shitting the pants' story. Other than that things were well inside the ordinary. At Julia's everything is as usual and everyone is OK. Same old, same old.

Take care, and keep updating the journal. We do read it, even if we don't respond to every single post.

Cheers,
Rad
