There's some place I need to go. There's some one I need to see. I know when I need to leave. I need to leave tomorrow.
I'm packing now. Nothing much, a change of clothes, an extra sweatshirt, my Book, my board, my journal, and gold. A gold coin vest.
Learned that one from my Papa. Gold can always be turned into spendable cash anywhere, but cash can't always be spent everywhere.
But, I still don't know where I need to go. I still don't know where I need to be. And I've got no idea who I'm supposed to see! But I know I've gotta be there. I know I've gotta see this chick.
This chick?
Yeah, that sounds right. So, I guess I'm going to see a girl. No, not a woman, She's definitely young. Meyah's age, or thereabouts.
There'll be a taxi here in a few hours. I didn't call for one. And I'm not going to. But I know it'll be here. She's arranged for it all.
And it'll take me to the airport. There will be tickets waiting for me. I just have to go up to the desk and give them my name.
She'll have it all set up.
I wonder what kind of money she's got available to her? Must be a lot. I wonder if she's got a front? She must. I'm pretty sure that she's too young to do it all on her own. Definitely would be, if she really is Meyah's age.

Everything is in place. Everything is as it should be. They will all be arriving soon. Time now to sit back. Have a drink. Set the stage.

"NO! Too Fast! Too Soon! We are NOT ready yet! Don't you dare make me do this all now! I won't! It's too soon and they're not ready and we're not ready and...." and the softly, quietly, painfully understanding look he was giving her drew the fire out of her.
"Fine," she said. "But I want a damn good explanation for us jumping the gun here."
He sighed. "You know I can't do that." He wanted to tell her, really he did! She could read it on him. But he didn't dare. It would cost everything if she knew.
She looked down at her hands. She was clasping the back of the chair, her knuckles almost white. She had stopped pacing. Her rant had died with his pathetic expression.
"I know" she whispered. She drew herself up. "But don't you dare expect this to fail. We may not think we have everything yet, but I can still play this game out. And I always win."
She strode out of the room. He smiled fondly, and a bit forlornly, at her back. Yes, she would play this game out. But this was one game she could never win.
