We here at the Extraordinary Contraptions have been very busy over the past couple months, slaving away in our secret lair to bring you the best in rock and roll spectacle available today. I have a few updates to share with you today but foremost among these is our upcoming performance this very weekend!

Don't let the tryptophan get you down! Head on out this weekend for three days of fantastic (or extraordinary, I daresay) live local music in the heart of Atlanta's hip east side at Wonderroot, a fantastic new venue and community arts center! As Corbin (formerly known as Kevin, more on that later...) will still be on holiday across the sea, the rest of us will be presenting an acoustic trio set of your favorite contrapulatronic canticles. An intimate performance not to be missed!
"So what of these other updates," I hear you ask. Well, I'll tell you. The Extraordinary Contraptions are proud to share with the world that we are, in point of fact, a Steampunk rock band, complete with fictional personae and a compelling backstory. Check out our updated myspace page and see what you think! From now on, feel free to come attired in your steampunk finest to our performances. We'll be sure to spot you and come say hello! Not sure what steampunk is, follow the wikipedia link above for a taste. We love the style, speech, media and people of the steampunk movement so we decided to join up. We think you'll like it too. You can't go wrong with a bit of brown leather and brass!
Also, we have a TEN-SONG CD! That's right, FORTY MINUTES of our Extraordinary Steampunk Rock and Roll. (And don't forget, if you've already bought an early version of Inappropriate on Purpose, you are eligible for a FREE upgrade to the latest version! This may be the final version. We can't decide if we want to leave it at 10 or do 12 or 14.)
We have NEW T-shirts! Available from Zazzle on our myspace page. They look amazing. Get one! They make fantastic holiday gifts! (As do our cd's and anything else you can buy from us! :-P)
We've got a Last.fm site set up! We need YOUR HELP to flesh it out and build a tag cloud for us. So head on over there and get involved!
Do you have a new year's party planned? Perhaps even a steampunk themed new year's party? Let us know! We'd love to play at it. Elecric or acoustic, your choice. We work cheap! (Read: probably free.)
