rockin' day in the "M-dot"

so yesterday, being the day of the week when I have no classes, i decied to get lots of work done and do a few errands, such as go to the bus station and buy a ticket to go to Kingston this weekend. So at lunch I asked Lawrence if he'd like to come on the exciting journey on the metro to the station. so we get there and realising we both don't have any more classes for the day, and being the curious people that we are, Lawrence says "I wonder what's at the end of the subway." so upon arriving at the other end of the island we realise two things, firstly that there really isn't anything except for a thuged out suberbia up there, and that we really can't read french (as there was a big monument dedicated to the first mass in Canada and then to some guys who martyered them selves in the river. after realising, well that was a waste of our $1.88 2/3. we got back on the sub way and headed back toward central station. then, again Lawrence suggested a bright idea. "hey, have you ever been to the casino?" so, we took the metro to jean drappeau prac/island deally, found out after much staring how to use a bus transfer ticket and took the "casino bus" at 2 in the after noon to the casino. several floors of flashing lights, loud sounds, the potent smell of alchol, we were broke. we lost it all guys. evey penny. well, we only had $5 dollars to begin, but that's not the point. we won big time, then lost it all on chance( well as big as you can get with quarters) oh and you might as well just turn the place into a big retirement community. they actually had nursing home busses that go to the casino, we were the only ones there who were under 65. so after much disapointment, we decided that it was our time to quit. that was fine and all. but have you ever tried to get out of one of those things? it's impossible. they blind you with their glitter and then add different wings and too many floors, so that it's virtually impossible to find an exit. but through retracing our steps we found the bus exit. but problem. we gambeled all our money away. we didn't have any change for the bus. we had money, but no change. so an hour of searching for a chenage machine later. we decided to screw that idea and jsut walk back to the metro station. you see the good thing about montreal is it's ridiculous tendancy to have large monuments. like if i'm ever lost in montreal, do a 360, find the cross on the montain, head towards it and vola, i'm home. ok so the relevance of this is that the metro station was right beside the biosphere. so once the exit of the casino was located we were able to just head toward that. it was easy sailing from then on. our adventure took us from lunch time right up until supper, and you said i didn't know how to waste time. so what we've learned is that, you can steal really cool buckets from the casino, and that the biosphere's too cold to climb. I'm sure there were better things that we could have been doing, but you know.. procrastination, makes it happen, procrastination, doing it slower, YA! ps, Lawrence broke the biosphere
