Well, the editing has still had a huge amount of variety. Just finished up a PhD dissertation abstract about some bioengineering, and my goodness it's not the easiest thing to fix the grammar of something when you have to google every 2 minutes to check the terminology. But I was finally able to determine that "colloidal gold nanoparticles conjugated with anti-EGFR monoclonal antibodies" is a noun phrase that turns up frequently in this kind of work, and so I just treat it as one object. :)
Next time I'm at a party, I think I'm going to ask, "So, how do you feel about bioconjugated nanoshells?" and if you're there with me, you can reply, "Why yes, now that you mention it, I've heard that they are on the order of 5-7 times more efficient than groups lacking nanoshells," and we will impress anyone who isn't a bioengineer. :)
In other news, Lennart and I rented a car over Easter and went to Cambridge on Friday and Stonehenge/Avebury/other Wiltshire places on Saturday. Cambridge is a place I had always wanted to go to school, and now I at least got to visit. It's almost like a fairyland of a place, with all the churches and spires and frilly buildings, and wonderful green lawns and gardens, and so on. I could totally imagine myself living there. Though when I imagine that, I imagine myself being 20, and at university, and I don't think I can go back in time so much, since they haven't quite figured that bit out yet. Too bad.
And for more magical feeling--well, more quiet mystery, rather--Stonehenge and Avebury Stone Circle were wonderful. There was very much a similar sense of the Easter Island moai when I saw Stonehenge, though the latter is MUCH older. I feel like I've seen another one of those Places-One-Should-See, and it was very neat! This world really is pretty nifty.
