One happy lil' chica...
Okay, so it sucks that I have to work every SINGLE day this week (and yes, that includes Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). Bite me Tower Records. Buuuut....I have the 30th-1st off which ROCKS. The 30th is Mikey's first show with his new band Then Came Silence. They're playing with A Long Winter and some other band I forget the name of. Everyone should go...it's at Gradwell Studios in Gloucester City. www.thencamesilence.com has directions. It's Deftones/Finch-ish kinda music if you like that jazz. And Mikey has the BEST voice! So yeah, then we're going to a big ass party after the show and then for New Years we're spending the 31st and the 1st at some chick's beach house in Atlantic City. Yaaay!
Last night was different. My friend Tim from work makes movies with his friends and they had one showing at the Cinemark in Haddon Heights. So me, Mikey, Project Pat, Shannon, Katie, and Doug went to the last showing at midnight. It was a Dazed & Confused-ish sorta movie about teenage life. It was fucking hilarious and Tim is one of the funniest, most random guys in the world. They're at www.wastedapples.com.
My life, aside from being insanely, disgustingly broke, is so much fun right now. I'm finally able to be my age again. I'm so happy I met Mikey and his friends. Especially Shannon...she reminds me how much fun life can be. So I'm excited. I feel like I'm starting all over again. No more stupid bullshit. No more "you can't hang out with guys"...no more "you do everything for me and I do nothing for you"....just no more changing who I am for someone who pretended to love me. It's nice to just be loved for who you are. In fact, I'd have to say it's the best feeling in the world.
Oh yeah, when me and Mikey were hanging out yesterday, he got up and wrote on his calendar the time it was and "Best 5 moments of my life". It was so cute. So yeah, I'm happy.
