While still rumors this inspires Jericho hope
Michael Ausiello at TV Guide.com is reporting that his industry sources say that CBS is on the verge of a deal to bring back Jericho for at least 8 episodes, possible as a mid-season replacement. I've read his column on occassion but I'm not a big follower. A number of folks have said that his industry rumors are almost always correct. I guess we'll see.
The unofficial rumor of a renewal has also spread to SyFyPortal. Nobody's celebrating until it comes from CBS in the form of a post from the Admins on the message board. But a week or so ago the vibe on the internet was pretty much "commendable effort but futile". The fact that the perception has changed to "this may just work" then to "it looks like this has worked" in about 9 days means that some winds of change are blowing within the industry at the very least. We'll see.
