Right, this thing is still here.

1. Finished watching the complete run of "Firefly" last night with Kath. Show started off great, then kinda petered out a bit near the end; can't really blame the show's creators for that necessarily, since the network was being a bunch of assholes (as usual) and didn't know what the hell they were doing with it. Great idea about the 10-15 episodes. Lynch himself should play Himself. Don't know if he can act. What to do about Mario, though. What to do.

Mario is indeed tricky. I feel like an asshole for even suggesting that Mario be done in CG, like Gollum in LOTR.

I see him kinda like Vincent D'Onofrio in Full Metal Jacket, mixed a bit with the guy who plays the bully in Back To The Future.

You're 100% right - I was so focused on JOI's filmography, I forgot about the puppet show, which is right up Gondry's alley.

What about Pemulis? Is Shia LaDouche too much of a douche? I feel like he needs that kind of nervous, cracked-out energy, though.

I love Paul Dano; not sure I'd pick him as Hal, but maybe as one of Hal's friends.

Tiny Ewell as half-CG, like Brad Pitt in Benjamin Button? Hmm. If Mario is full-CG, though, it could get complicated. He's also a pretty small character - I'm not sure how much screentime he'd get.

Still can't get a grasp on Orin or CT.
