You Know that Episode of The Simpsons where Homer starts a Remote-Dialing Scam...

... yes, well it was all very funny when Homer J did it. It's not in the real world. It tears you away from cooking breakfast, out of the shower and rouses the napping into states of cranky wakefulness.

Today I've benn bombarded by junk phonecalls. You know them when they come, though. You get a slight pause after you pickup, then the noise of the piss-poor quality tape running starts and then you're subjected to a few seconds of innane patter before you grimace and slam the phone back into its cradle.

I do not give two tugs of a dead dog's cock as to whether or not I have won a prize of any kind in a contest I have never even entered.
2 of these so far today.

I do not give the proverbial flying fuck about Radio 9 (whatever the fuck it's supposed to be).
3 of these today.

And as for the epic burst of silence that never ends... well, my answer is a simple *click*.
2 of these today.

Seven junk calls between 10:00am and 2:20 pm. If anyone from here has called and heard me shout "I can't hear you so I'm hanging up," in a testy voice, I'm sorry. But today the glorious telephone is getting dangerously close to finding a new home in the toilet bowl.
