So, where have I been over the past few days?

Besides reading Potter? Well, I finished that on Monday.

Besides working? I went to the White Stripes concert, and it. Fucking. Rocked. Jack White is officially the sexiest man alive. Ball and Biscuit, My Doorbell, Fell In Love With a Girl, Little Ghost, Seven Nation Army, Icky Thump, You Don't Know What Love Is. Seriously, these guys put on one of the best shows I've ever seen, so go to YouTube right now, search 'White Stripes', and check out some of the ones that aren't actually shitty bootlegs from the 7.24.7 Madison Square Garden show.

Next concert? The Police!

Anyway, I think I should cover Potter, too, just like everyone else. Cut because SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE OHNOEZ. D: And cut for major spoilers. Head off and don't comment if you don't want the book spoiled.

Professor Neville! You see, I totally knew it when J.K Rowling said that one of Harry's classmates would become a teacher at Hogwarts. Hermoine would be the obvious answer, so seeing as Professor Sprout was probably getting up in years anyway, and seeing as Neville was the best at Herbology out of all the students, it fit. I wonder if he became head of Gryffindor house, too. That would rule.

Actually, Neville in general totally rocked my socks. I would marry him if he wasn't fictious.

I loved the book, but the deaths?

Hedwig? Nooo!
Mad-Eye? Nooooooo!
Tonks and Lupin? Ted Tonks? Colin Creevey? Noooooooo!
FRED WEASLEY??

That was the last straw. Though of course, his death fuels his mother's rage, and though seeing Mrs. Weasley kick the wizarding shit out of Bellatrix totally made my day, I stilll can't fathom that Fred. Is. Dead.

And then Snape? I had a feeling he was good all along, despite being a terrible embittered man who took out his rage through passive agressive behavior directed towards others around him. I do love Harry's line about him being one of the bravest men he ever met, because it's true. Snape, simply, is an extraordinary character. Awesome.

Okay, yeah... I loved the book. Except the epilogue, again, which could have gone more into depth about everyone's careers, and could've strayed more from spelling out who marries who, and whatnot. I mean, come on. We couldn't get to hear about Luna post-Hogwarts? Does she go on as the editor of the Quibbler?

We know who marries who without reading the epilogue. Of course, it's nice to see it and it should definitely be included, but still. Reading the epiloque kinda felt like reading a fanfic, seeing as so many details were glossed over. Though of course, it was quite amusing to see that Ron Weasley totally turned into his father.

Anyway, an amazing book overall, and as J.K Rowling said, the best way to end the series. I wanted to take my time reading it since it was the last of them, but I just couldn't put it down.
