My roommate had to write an I Am poem for one of his education classes. I have been writing a bit the past couple of days but just stagnated so here is a quick attempt at an I Am poem

A List of Bullshit Starting With "I Am" or: I Am The Coolest Motherfucker Alive

I am connor the angry atheist
writing poems cursing gods when I'm pissed
And I'm connor the awkward eighth grader
I see the girl of my dreams, but I'll talk to her later
But later never comes, just like me
I am Ronald Raygun, a clever pun doing this just for fun
A fantasy of me writing raps rhyming the latest social commentaries
'til the day I wind up in one of the cemeteries
I am connor the confident narrator, the myth of a man who's got it all figured out
The myth of a man who's got himself figured out
I am actually full of doubt, insecure, inappropriate, unapologetic
I am stubborn to unhealthy degrees
I have driven people away from me for meaningless convictions
I Am bothered by how negative this poem is, but I Am being honest

I Am being too hard on myself, I need to put this mentality back on the shelf
I have been a good person, and I will be again
I am running out of things to say
I am done with this poem
