I haven't made a real update in a long time, so I forgot a lot of the things that have happened. The WSOU show was good. I was on the left stage for most of the time. It sucked that we only got to see 3 Folly songs, but they were good. From First To Last were blah. I only like one of the screamers' voice. Boys Night Out were pretty good; the new song was alright. I think Unearth put on a good show. Nobody else on my side was into them, besides two guys from Folly. Blood Brothers weren't as great live as everyone says they are. I liked a couple of their songs and that's it. Fucking Poison The Well couldn't play because Chris was in the hospital. I hope he's better now, but that still sucked. I went to the right stage for From Autumn To Ashes and just stood in front of the speakers, which probably wasn't a good idea, but it was a really good spot. Their "newer" guitarist was actually pretty good and the bassist was okay. They had a good set. I didn't want to see AWK, so I went with Ola and John downstairs to look at the merch. I got myself the Banner t-shirt that I've always wanted.
Monday we had a game. I sucked, got pulled. You know, the usual. I should have been put in for the third game because I could have won for us instead of losing by two pins.
Tuesday I went to the mall with Dave. He got more girl pants. I dragged him into other stores. We talked a lot and he made me feel bad for him. Which then on Wednesday, I found out that he was lying. About everything. Fucking jerk. So I beat him up.
Thursday, he wore his girl pants to school, along with his white belt, tight t-shirt, and my BNO hoodie. It was funny, but he looked good. In Creative Writing, we finished watching A Muppets Christmas Carol. For History, we took an easy test and had a party for Peach. I gave Jess her present and she was happy with it 8-] In Bio, we fuckin' took notes and watched a NOVA episode/movie on thyphoid disease. I hate that show with a passion. In Spanish, everyone brought in their stupid rap CDs, so me and Dave brought our CD players so we wouldn't have to listen to it. All we did was sit on the radiator thingie and watch the rest of Finding Nemo<3, where I then gave him his present. I didn't exactly know if he liked it or not, but it's our own little joke. The Nemo hangs from his ceiling haha.
That night, I went with Rob to the Bloomfield Ave. Cafe. It's kind of a small place. When we got to the door, they said, "Get in. You guys are the last people. It sold out." Great, because if we came in afterwards, I would have complained and got us in anyway. The Killing Gift were playing when we got there, and they sucked. Next was Joey Southside and some other guys who played 3 songs that were pretty good. Burn The Tyrant played after that and I sorta liked them. Folly weren't as good as they could be, but they played like 3 old songs that kicked a lot of ass. Fight Paris were alright. No one seemed to like them, but they did okay. It Dies Today were fucking amazing. Wow. I was right up front and people would randomly run up to sing with us and the vocalist. I loved them so much. Andy-ETID was there too, on the stage, and he told us that they wouldn't be playing here for awhile because of writing and recording and all that shit. The Banner were sick as fuck. They played Rattlesnakes tooooo. The first and only other time I saw them was over a year ago in November, and they're still just as good. When they started, people ran up to Joey with empty pizza boxes. It was hilarious. They danced with them too. Mikey-MCR was on the side of the stage screaming into his own mic with some guy for a few songs. That was also funny. The other sounded like Dave-FBTMOF. I think they were drunk or just being stupid. Everyone ran onto the stage two or three times to sing and I would have, but I'd look like an idiot being the only girl. Jon from Folly was standing with me all during The Banner, so I talked with him after the show. He thought they didn't play good, but it was also 'cause his voice was still shot. He said they probably aren't playing the area for awhile now, which sucks.
After that, we went to Blockbuster and and OMG guess who I met? Dave from Last Picked. Haha Rob told me he worked with him and I said that I liked their band(which is now defunct), so we went to see him. He's cool. We stayed there for about an hour I think and then he took me home.
Christmas Eve was gay. We started too early. My dad actually gave me something - money. And it was a lot. 50$. My Aunt gave me a gift card to Best Buy. There's probably around 50$ on that. YAY. From my cousins, I got 40$. My sister gave me a small present which was just two pairs of socks and a black table cloth thing for the one next to my bed that had been a non-matching disgusting teal green for a year. So, not too bad. We went to church for midnight mass and that was so boring because they stretched everything. We fucking got home at 1:20. I hate church.
Christmas Day was alright. Dave said I should stop complaining about what I got and to be thankful, which is true. But, it seems like everyone's gifts, or at least one thing, sucked. We joked with my brother and sister all night because he got an ugly green sweatshirt from our mom and she got an ugly orange shirt and a black Michael Jackson-looking one from her.
Almost half of my presents need to be exchanged or returned:
2 shirts that are a size too big
Story of the Year CD that I didn't even want 'cause it sucks.
the wrong My Chemical Romance CD
an ugly scarf
3 headbands that look stupid
an ugly cheap ornament
and now the really good/okay stuff:
Thursday-WATT since I lost mine
a pretty scarf
2 books
lip gloss
that messenger bag I wanted from PacSun. My mom was stupid and paid all the money for it when I told her I had a gift card.
a vegan cookbook (even though I'm not vegan)
a how-to-draw people book, where the people aren't even realistic, and it also teaches you the anatomy of our bodies
a fancy shaver that can be used whenever
a new straightener that's pretty good, but it's weird cause it's only 3/4" wide
a 35$ gift card to the mall
a 35$ gift card for bowling
a heavy ass jar full of change and probably some bills
a check so I can get an AP subscription
$100 from my other aunt
20$ which I decided to put into my brother's New Truck Fund that he got, because I'm nice
I think that's it.
Today, I had to go to church AGAIN and it was also longer. Fucking Converge aren't playing anymore tonight because of the "impending weather conditions". ASSHOLES. I was so excited to finally see them, but no, Mother Nature has to be mean and make it snow. I kinda figured some precipitation has to fall today because every show that I go to, majority of the time and more recently, it rains. But this is just too much. I called Starland and they said they're looking for another band to replace them (which of course won't be as good, but you never get what you want - Rob said they should get Folly to play. That's the best idea he has ever thought of.) and if they can't find one, it's just We're All Broken and Thursday. What a great way to spend some 25$. Thursday better play some good shit, meaning old songs and more than just 15 songs-or-so of a set. Of course that probably won't happen. We'll see what happens later.
