I got some junk mail yesterday, trying to get me to come check out cars for sale. And HEY, I might even be the lucky winner who can open the FREE car that will be there! Same ole same ole right? Wrong. This one came with an actual car key. not a flimsy useless one, but an actual car key, which was sealed onto the junk mail sheet with some plastic covering.
This made me really angry.
Think how many thousands of these were mailed out in my town. Now multiply that by the number of other dealerships in other towns that did the same thing in the last year. Now picture a pile of that number of keys ending up in a landfill for NO GOOD REASON. What a waste. Not only does it unnecessarily clog up our landfills, metal is a NATURAL resource. While the metals in these keys (I have no idea which ones) may not be rare, they are still a supply that is LIMITED, and we shouldn't be wasting it on crap like this, only so it can be immediately thrown out. RAR.
