It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .
Today I have this overwhelming feeling of finally being content here. Nothing extraordinary triggered this emotion, it was out of the nowhere. But for the first time in a while, I trully felt happy with everything here. Like today was the "first day" of everything. Yesterday on the drive home I came to terms, at least for right now, that Columbia is home. I love it for everything it is and everything its not. I am content right now with being here. I'm sure there will come a day not too far off in the distant future where I am begging to get out of here and go back to the motherland. But for now, it makes me happy, and I'm thankful just for that.
We put up our Christmas tree today. It's mexican can themed. It has chile peppers and a sombraro (spelling?). It's fantastic, I'll post some pictures when its all done.
