So things are going pretty well lately here. Not so much at home, but in the great Palmetto State, not too bad. I'm no longer in a permanent funk, I can't be, I have to look forward to a better future. I know it's coming one of these days.
These weekend was kinda busy. Friday night I went out for Halloween to the infamous Avenue B. I wasn't planning on going out for Halloween at all, but at last second one of our friends had a party. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but I absolutely DETEST it in college. It's the time of year where girls get slutted up more than they already are and pretend to have a "costume" on. I can't stand that. What happened to the days where my mom made my costume and I couldn't wait till Halloween came to dress up finally. This year I decided to go as Little Red Riding. A kosher little red riding hood and I loved it! I made myself a cape since we have a sewing machine here. It was cheap as hell, cause apparently the fabric I bought at Walmart was only $.43 ayard, crazy cheap. Then I got a little wooden basket, it was my purse/beer basket. I wore a "frilly" white shirt and a jean skirt that went to my knees. I tried to find red ruby slippers, kinda like Dorthy's but I couldn't. I opted for buying a pair of imitation black chucks and wearing those. All and all, cute but not slutty. I was highly pleased with it. The party was fun, just about everyone came dressed up, some of my favorites - Jesus, Wayne & Garth, Guns N Roses and Churck dressed up in a PINK polo and khakis, w/ a golf club. Don't worry I took pictures.
Saturday I went to open for our school. It was incrediably long since it started at noon. They put me in charge of loading buses which sucked. Normally I'm a great people person, mmm, not Saturday. People would ask me the same damn questions over and OVER. If someone asked when the next bus was coming, I'd say 5 minutes and then the person who was standing right next to them would ask me the same questions 5 f'ing seconds later. Seriously wanted to punch people in the faces. And then no matter how many times I state which bus was going where, I always had to climb on at the last second because stupid people inevitably always got on the wrong bus thinking it was going somewhere else, even though I clearly identified where it was going when they got on. GRRR
Got home by 5:30 and at 6 left for the initiate retreat. It was about an hour away, so it was dark by the time I got there. Had a lot of fun, it was freezing ass cold, let me tell you. I don't know but somewhere in the time I went to NJ and came back it actually got cold in SC. And I hate it because its not like at hom where you can consistantly count on it being 40 degrees outside. Oh non, it will be 40 when you leave your house, the weather will say that it will be 45 the rest of the day and then magically it jumps up to 75 degrees. Pain in my bum bum.
Today had to go to church in the morning. No comment on that right now, still sorting it out. Came home, "cleaned" the apartment, appartently not good enough for my room mate (I love you Im only kidding) because we were hosting a progressive dinner for our fraternity. The dinner turned out well, but we had a TON of leftover food. So we invited over a couple of people and had an "after-party" dinner. We were supposed to be watching a movie right now, but the asian HO forgot he had a test and left to go study. Anywho, on that note, I think I might go do some studying myself, either that or go browse the internet forever more. Peace out cubbie scouts . . .
