Let's set this mood on fire and rise above the flames...

Ok, update time. I've been crazy busy on my so-called relaxing vacation. I have no idea what I've actually accomplished this week, but I've had a great time so whatever.

Monday - went to Woodbury Commons with my sister. Spent a lot of money, had a good time.

Tuesday - Little Italy for lunch, shopping on Canal and in Soho (yay for spending more money), then saw 42nd Street. I think this would've been a good show if I wasn't so anxious. I swear I can't sit still for more than 20 minute intervals...but we had excellent seats. I think Laurie and I are going to start going to shows once a month because...why not?

Wednesday - Doctor's appt. I was freaking out that I gained weight after I dropped it so fast, I kinda don't know how all that happened, but my doctor thinks I'm insane. He thinks I'm losing at a good weight and that I'm being too hard on myself. I hope that's the case, but in any event, apparently I'm 10 pounds less than I was last summer. Yay :) Then I went down to Freehold for the afternoon so my little brother could work on my car. FINALLY got the intake put in, and my brother surprised me and put in H4 headlights for my birthday, which may or may not cause me to fail inspection. I'm looking forward to that...although they are bright as hell.

Thursday - Took care of a lot of stuff around the house, worked out, and drove down to New Brunswick. Drank from 6 PM til 2 AM. Got to catch up with Tom for a little bit - which was LONG overdue - and got to celebrate the August (and July - Lauren) birthdays with everyone who didn't make it out the first round...and then some of those who did. Dennis seems to have an abundance of hot friends lately, and for the second time this week, one of his friends got my number. We'll see if he calls. He wanted to come up here Sunday, so I guess he would have to call me tomorrow if that is going to happen. At the very least, he was fun to play with yesterday, but I have been being so good lately - I guess I'm nervous to rush into anything with anyone - and I hope that's not coming across as anything other than what is intended. Ha, like I have a clue what guys think. Riiiiiight.

The ride home from the bars was interesting. Almost got into a fight outside the bars because someone made a comment to some guys and they got all riled up and started talking shit to Shawn. Yeah...I didn't like that. Katie handled the situation very well and I walked away without starting some huge argument...unlike the last time I was at the Knight Club at 2 AM lol

Then we pass this guy in a Mercedes on Easton and my good friend decides, hey wouldn't it be fun to flash him? I love how he almost crashed his car. It was quite funny. Then he raced away when the comment was made that the wifey might get mad if he crashed his pretty car...

Friday - Went to IHOP with Lauren for breakfast, drove home, showered and passed out for a few hours. Ran MORE errands - I feel like that's all I've done this week - made dinner, and went to work out with the trainer. We did measurements today because I want to track my progress over the next month to see if I'm going to stick with this trainer. He was kinda a backup since Marie can't bother to call me back to re-schedule and I'm getting tired of trying to track her down. Anyway, the session went well, and I felt oddly comfortable talking about goals, and sizes, and weight issues with him. So we figured out why I can drop weight and not drop sizes and apparently it's cuz I'm working out too hard and thus going past the fat burning range and into the muscle burning mode. FUCK. No wonder. And I've been slacking on the weights in order to allow more time to do cardio because I thought what good does toning do if it's all covered in fat, but ha...my workout is getting a HUGE overhaul. The other wonderful thing is that I have to try to eat within a calorie range and I have no idea how many calories I eat per day. I eat really healthy - but I don't know if I'm over/under what I should be at. At some point soon, I guess I should figure that out before I waste a shitload of money on a trainer and then not do what he tells me.

This cooking hobby has gotten out of control. I go crazy when I go shopping and buy all this stuff thinking I might make it - and of course there is no way I can make everything before it goes bad. Today I spent $90 on groceries. Seriously, that is ridiculous. I rarely spend more than $20-25 at the store, and even when I buy that much, I still have stuff that goes bad before I make anything with it. I would probably take at least half of it back if I could, but yeah...maybe I'll just learn my lesson this time.

Ahhh...I'm starting to get tired. I'm excited because I'm supposed to see Garden State tomorrow. Also contemplating a massage and if I can convince someone to go with me, I'm so going to do it. I feel like I haven't done anything vacation-y yet, but I only have 2 days of vacation left! Yuck.
