In case anyone is wondering why I haven't called them back, I have this new problem with checking my voicemail where I just don't do it. One day I decided I hate checking my voicemail so I just stopped. Eventually I will listen to my messages and will call you all back, but right now I feel like talking to no one after this weekend's episodes.

To clarify, I appreciate all that was done for me to celebrate my birthday. However, what happened once we were out...I am seriously offended and hurt. No I will not apologize to anyone for feeling this way. If you think I am being selfish, you're entitled to your own opinion. However, understand that people being different is what makes the world go round...and just because I don't think, feel, or react the way you do doesn't make you right or me wrong. It's upsetting that some of my friends are more concerned with justifying themselves as being "right" than in trying to understand why I feel the way I do.

I have never thought that anyone should feel the same way just because I do, and I really thought some of my friends were more openminded than they apparently are. I am not writing this to start shit, but I need to get this off my chest and I am tired of "discussing" this with people who pretend to care, but really just want to tell me I'm wrong. You don't have to change your mind after reading this, but maybe it will make you think about the situation from an angle you hadn't considered before.

If anything, this weekend made me realize who my real friends are. And if you're reading this, do NOT read too much into this. It doesn't necessarily mean you.

On a better note, I am meeting with my counselor at Broccolini's today to discuss what I have to consider before deciding whether or not to change industries. Then I'm meeting with HR to see what opportunities are available, and to hopefully get some more guidance on what is/isn't going to hold me back or get me promoted on time. THESE are the things I should be worrying about, whether than wondering what my friends' intentions are.

I hope everyone understands that this isn't targeted at any one person, that I'm not pissed off at anyone. But anyone who knows me well knows that it's the little things that make me happy and those are the things I think show that a person really cares. And some people definitely showed that more than others this weekend, and it was surprising who did and who didn't. While I am hurt, I am not pissed at anyone, I am just tired of talking about it.

I have a lot to do today, and I will probably add more to this later, but feel free to comment if you want.
