stressed.
i just spent the last few hours working on conference evaluations for my class. since i am leaving to go to vegas next week, we are starting our conferences on tuesday of this week. and we have not completed a single evaluation. why is this? well, we were given the evaluations (which are actually packets with 10 categories) only a few weeks ago, and of course, a few weeks ago we were preparing for the art gallery.. i'm just really frustrated right now with the entire situation. the evaluations should have been given to us in january, so we had an adequate amount of time to do assessments or at least plan activities that corresponded with the categories in the evaluations. gah! i just can't wait until next wednesday when it will all be over and i will be on a plane to vegas. yeeeeeah.
this weekend was fun. friday after work i went to ellensburg. i don't know what it is about ellensburg, but i always end up getting so ridiculously drunk off of very little alcohol. seriously, i think that place has magic powers or something. needless to say, i had a good time. hahaha.
saturday i drove back and then watched frankie and christopher which was okay. then i hung out with jeris and amy and we played operation. that was fun, and hard! the buzzer always scares me ..
i didn't fall asleep until after 3:30 (which was actually 4:30 with the time change..) and woke up at 9 to have breakfast with the family. i did my laundry and went to target, and then met up with callie for coffee!!!! i hadn't seen that girl in a loooong time, it was nice to catch up with her.
two pieces of exciting news!
one: i got a letter in the mail on saturday from the city attorney's office, telling me that they are ordering the crackhead who broke into my car to pay restitution for the damages. so i am sending back a form they sent, with a copy of my receipt for the repairs.. and i guess i'll find out more once they process all that. i'm really excited, because he obviously should be the one to pay for it, and not me .. at the same time, i'm just so ready to be done with it .. and i know this won't be over for a loooong time. its not like he's going to pay it all in one lump sum.. its going to most likely be smaller payments over a long period of time. but, i guess i'd rather deal with it and get my money back.
two: kelly's band (shook ones) is in this month's issue of alternative press, as one of the bands to look for in 2007. there's a lovely picture and kelly is quoted several times. really exciting, and i am really proud of him! everyone check it out.
now i've got to take a shower and get some sleep.. i'm exhausted! tomorrow i'm going to a hip hop show .. i'm still not really sure why. haha.
