oh monday.
okay, so is it odd that i am actually sad about the crocodile hunter's death? i'm really not sure why .. but i am.
tomorrow i go back to work. i started my new job on friday .. the kids start this wednesday, and tomorrow is a staff inservice day. it should be interesting because i feel like i'm just being kind of thrown in there and not really sure entirely what is happening. i got a lot of stuff done tonight in preparation, so that feels good.
i also decided this evening that i need to start reading more. i need to read at least half an hour each day, if not more. i have several books on my "to-read" list .. and it is definitely not working out for me. plus i figure if i start reading more i won't waste my time on mindless television like programs about families with sixteen kids. what?! did i really just watch that!? at least i was multi-tasking and getting work done at the same time..
my muscles hurt .. i am attributing it to paddle-boating. actually my leg muscles do not hurt at all .. this is from holding myself up on the boat with my lower body dangling in the water.. which was a lot colder than i thought it was going to be when i decided i was going to go swimming. so from holding myself up .. my upper body is now aching. god i am so out of shape !!!! meh. it was so lovely to go paddleboating .. i wonder if i'll be able to go one more time before the weather takes a turn for the worse and fall inevitably arrives. (anyone down to go this weekend if the weather holds up?)
andrea is leaving us at the end of this week. :( right after that i'll be getting my little kitten. and soon after that, my sister returns from her looooong journey across the pond. lots of crazy excitement this month!
