Item 1: Megan's law hasn't detered sex offenders. that's because people who molest kiddies are people the victim knows. besides the fact that it doesn't work, I find the idea flawed. Am I notified when a murderer moves into my neighborhood? no I am not. So my life doesn't matter? You're worried my kid will be molested, but you're not worried that I or my kid might be murdered? Nice philosphy. That's because Megan's Laws always has been and always will be one of these idea that tells the public that "We Care", that "We're Doing Something". it's to make people feel better, but it doesn't do shit.
