Strange things are a foot....

I believe it was Nicole who dubbed this the "summer of strange" and although she is wise beyond her years, I feel she has probably never been more correct about anything else. This is such a strange summer. For me, yes, many adjustments, but its strange for everyone I know. Back in May when school was ending, I know that no one could see all the twists and turns we all take, but there have been a lot of them.

This morning Winston left Boston. He has lived here for 7 years, and the last time he moved was when I moved to Urbana, which only reminds me that I have also left. I was back for 1.5 days and recalled instantly that I miss it. I miss the way it moves, the way I have friends there, mostly my parents. I got so used to having them be a large part of my life, and I love my brothers, but since we all went to college I got used to them being gone, but my parents were always there. I do like it here, but it is such an adjustment that I feel like I am on vacation. A long vacation with all of my furniture, but vacation, it does not feel like home yet. I am going to the DMV today (actually here it is called the RMV, no clue why, this state has all sorts of strange things...like no sales tax on clothes unless it is over 175$, what is that about?) Anway, it means no more Illinois drivers license or license plates :( I will officially be a resident of the state of Mass. which I did not write out because I STILL cannot spell it. I should really get on that. To top off more strange, Zach is here, which I love, but it just means the settled in feeling to the apt is delayed further with moving being such a frequent hobby these days. He had two interviews this week, both for good jobs and should hear back today or early next week about them, so that is also exciting/strange. The weirdest thing thus far was Winston introducing Zach as my fiance last night at dinner (we went for sushi, there are some great things about this place, like the seafood....but they don't have steak n shake.) It is all just....very very strange. I would also comment on other people's strange activities this summer, but suffice it to say we all know strange things are a foot at the circle K.
