Man faces a felony count in hosing down of TV van

An Everett man faces a felony charge after he allegedly turned a hose on a television news crew that was reporting from the scene of a fatal shooting in Lynnwood.
Jonathan Todd Williams, 22, caused more than $1,000 damage to equipment owned by KIRO-TV during the May 27 incident, Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Jim Townsend said in Superior Court papers.
A KIRO reporter and photographer were at an address on 172nd Street SW the day after one man was killed and another seriously wounded in an armed confrontation.
The news crew had arrived in a van containing computers and other equipment used in their job. They left the van's doors open as they worked on the story, Townsend said.
"The defendant approached the van with a hose and sprayed the interior of the van with water," the prosecutor said. Williams also turned the hose on the photographer, who videotaped the incident.
Police were called and Williams was arrested.
"I hope their equipment is waterproof, I know that computer stuff can be expensive," he allegedly told police.
Williams is charged with second-degree malicious mischief. Court papers do not specify how the man was connected, if at all, to the shooting case.
I find this funny, as i've often wanted to do this myself. The other really funny thing is that KIRO is also the TV station that had a naked streaking man run past their cameras and fart during a live report by one of their reporters. I have proof for those who can be emailed a large video file!!!!

Hmm....Sarah's best friend's father died this week so she's going over to Ohio to help out. Sarah was close to Bill, too, so i'm sorry for her. Wish her well.
