Almost over TV inventory

May 21, 2010 21:23

Approximately Tuesday (I think Glee has another episode) the TV season will be over. In theory, I should miss it, but in May, watching TV starts to feel like work, since I watch a lot of baseball. So it will be a while before I miss it. This is my more-or-less annual mostly-post-mortem:

Sunday:
The Pacific - I've fallen behind on this, despite generally liking it. I suppose that's a sign it doesn't really measure up to "Band of Brothers"

Treme - I'm only one episode behind on this. I love the New Orleans atmosphere and music, and I want to reach into the screen to eat the food. The plot is a bit meandering.

Dexter, Weeds, Californication - like all three. Waiting for summer returns.

Monday:
Heroes - I liked the show enough to watch it, but I won't miss it. This year was better than some of the previous ones, though.

Chuck - Still fun. I am glad it was renewed. Fully expect it to be cancelled next year, but as the percentage of cast members who don't know Chuck is a spy approaches zero, it has probably run it's course anyway.

24 -There are only so many ways to yell "Just tell me where the bomb is!". I think it's time.

Tuesday:
Lost - five years in, it's still the good drugs.

Glee - Inevitably going to suck in a year or two, but currently a lot of fun.

Wednesday:
Human Target - Fun. Glad it survived.

Mercy - Sampled because I like Michelle Trachtenberg. Stuck with it because it was actually pretty good (liked it better than Grey's Anatomy). Would have liked renewal.

Warehouse 13 (I think this was the night it airs): Also fun. Looking forward to return.

Thursday:
FlashForward - liked the show. Plot was more compelling than the characters. Disappointed it's ending, though.

Fringe - Increasingly a favorite. Crazy in a good way.

Grey's Anatomy - Still like the crazy soapishness, but not as much as in the past.

The Office, 30 Rock - gradually sliding off my radar.

Friday:
Caprica - I was somewhat indifferent to BSG by the end. So I was surprised to really like the mixture of The Matrix, the Corleones, and the Terminator.
